The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) is established under Article 230 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, to; a) set and regularly review the remuneration and benefits of all State officers, and b) advice the national and county governments on the remuneration and benefits of all other public officers. It is operationalised by SRC Act, 2011.
SRC delivers its services to the wider public service and stakeholders in Kenya through efficient and effective automation systems, as well as digital, online, virtual and cloud-based processes.
SRC App is, therefore, a tool for creating awareness on the mandate and brand identity of SRC. It enhances efficiency, effectiveness and productivity in the activities of SRC and promotes faster information sharing and communication with stakeholders and the public.
SRC App displays regular data on remuneration and benefits in the public service, and key information about SRC, including, circulars, decisions, advice and the latest news. The data and information sets are collated into an easy-to-read display.
Users can enter their preferred settings to customise the App in terms of notifications, favourites, search options, etc.
The App has interfaces that allow for two-way interaction, including an interactive feedback section, and portals for stakeholder and public participation. The App facilitates increased networking and strengthening of links with stakeholders.
